Coming to Brier Island in August 2026
The Westport Theatre Troupe has teamed up with the Joshua Slocum Society and the Brier Island Foundation to bring an original play to Brier Island this summer.
Before the Sea: the Joshua Slocum story on Brier Island tells the tale of Slocum living on Brier Island from the age of 8-16 before he heads for life at sea.
Performance dates are Aug 8-9, 2026:
-Saturday, August 8th at 6:30pm
-Sunday, August 9th at 2:00pm
